Be a Mentor to Help Our Students

Volunteer with Education Matters to ensure that every child in Roane County has a post-secondary educational option

Since the beginning of the Roane Alliance Education Matters initiative in 2009, one of its objectives has been to recruit volunteers and have them passionately connect with members of our community. With this endeavor, we are seeing through to fruition the delivery of the message that education does matter. 

Our volunteers take many forms and serve at middle school and high school career days, and as mentors for tnAchieves/Tennessee Promise. The newest offering is our internship program in which businesses and their employees volunteer to provide Career and Technical Education (CTE) for our high school senior students.
